Marcie Rendon is a citizen of the White Earth Nation. She is an award-winning crime novelist, an award-winning spoken word artist, a writer of children’s non-fiction books, and a published and produced playwright. She’s also the creative mind and energy behind Raving Native Productions, an organization that aims to create, curate and produce work by other Native artists wanting to get on stage. 


Marcie Rendon is the lead artist for the June 2019 event, Art Is…CreativeNativeResilienceRendon brings together three Anishinabe artists to perform contemporary artistic works in a showcase of the collective resilience of who we are as a people. Jada Brown sings her heart out. Andrea Fairbanks dances and moves about the lifeforce of our language over attempts to destroy us. Sir Curtis Kirby III brings his directing skills, along with the Ikidowin Youth Theater Ensemble.
