Remembering Photographer Dick Bancroft

For fifty years Dick Bancroft took photographs of the activities of the American Indian Movement. He was there in the early 1970s as the indigenous rights movement was flowering and when AIM was conducting actions across the United States to bring attention to Native American rights. Bancroft died in July at age 90. A collection of Bancroft's photos were published in 2013 by the Minnesota Historical Society Press titled "We Are Still Here."

Laura Waterman Wittstock was the author of "We Are Still Here" and the educator and writer joined us to talk about her long-time friend. The interview features Laura's take on Dick's powerful photographs as she spoke about his passion for the American Indian Movement.
