Pioneering Hmong Chef Yia Vang stopped by Almanac recently to share the recipe for his “Sloppy Chow,” a sloppy joe inspired entree he will soon be offering the public. Here’s the recipe if you’d like to try it at home.

Sloppy Chow

1 lb ground beef

2 Tsp curry paste

1 C coconut milk (cream)

1/4 C diced shallots

2 Tsp chopped garlic

2 Tsp lemongrass chopped

2 Tsp smoked paprika

1 Tsp ground coriander

1 Tsp ground cumin
