Kevin Kling's State Fair Memories

Storyteller Kevin Kling is enamored with the State Fair. He loves the eats, the traditions, and the people watching/listening. Kevin was the perfect choice a few years back when Twin Cities PBS created the documentary State Fair Stories.  And for each of the past four years when the fair has been held, he has joined us when Almanac teams up with Minnesota Public Radio and does a special combo TV and Radio edition of Almanac. 2018's State Fair essay was — I think — my favorite one thus far. My favorite line? When Kevin says that there's a ride on the Midway that he and his brother still call "The Return of the Corn Dog."
