Control of Congress could run through Minnesota. Another race to watch covers mostly suburbs in the south metro but also some farms and several river cities like Hastings, Red Wing and Northfield. It's an affluent district with an average income of $80,000.
Republican Congressman Jason Lewis is defending his first term in a district that President Trump won and the only Democrat to win here in the last decade was President Obama by the slimmest of margins. Lewis is still well-known as a former radio talk show host.
Democrat Angie Craig is back after a close contest in 2016. The businesswoman lives in the largest city in the district in Eagan and points out Lewis does not live in the district, he's not required to do so. Craig is counting on people looking for change in Washington.
