Can we find ways to better communicate after police-involved shootings?

The John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City convened a task force of prosecutors, police and families who lost loved ones to police violence with the goal of finding ways to improve communication and address the tragedy of police-involved shootings. Philando Castile's mother Valerie Castile, his uncle Clarence Castile, and Ramsey County Attorney John Choi were among those on the task force. The trio talked with Almanac about a community toolkit the task force created.
