What influenced your love of music?  
Lazerbeak: The radio was what kicked it all off for me - hearing late 80s and early 90s R&B on KDWB got me hooked.

What was the first album you bought?  
Lazerbeak: Cooleyhighharmony by Boyz II Men. Classic.

If you could only listen to one album the rest of your life, what would it be?  
Lazerbeak: I know greatest hits albums are technically cheating, but I gotta go with The Essential Luther Vandross double-disc.

What instrument did you play growing up?  
Lazerbeak: Alto sax, baby. 4th grade through 11th grade.

What/where was the first concert you attended?   
Lazerbeak: The Black Crowes and Dirty Dozen Brass Band at Roy Wilkins Auditorium in 7th grade. Yikes.

What is your favorite song right now?  
Lazerbeak: "Dinero" by Jennifer Lopez and Cardi B.

What is your favorite local album released in the last year?
Lazerbeak: Dangerous Jumps by Shredders (shameless, I know)

What album has your favorite cover art?  
Lazerbeak: Doin Thangs by Big Bear

What genre of music do you like least?  
Lazerbeak: I struggle with hard rock and metal. I'm too much of an easy listening old man I think.

Who is your favorite 90s rapper?  
Lazerbeak: Tie between Jay-Z and Black Thought.

What band/musician/song is a guilty pleasure?   
Lazerbeak: I really really really really really really like Carly Rae Jepsen.

What is your go-to karaoke song?  
Lazerbeak: "Weak" by SWV or "Can We Talk?" by Tevin Campbell.

What instrument can you not stand the sound of?  
Lazerbeak: Harpsichord.

Who is your favorite rock band? 
Lazerbeak: The Killers. Greatest rock band of the century!!!

What is your favorite Doomtree song to perform? 
Lazerbeak: I've always loved playing "No Way." Something about the energy in that one always feels like the ceiling is gonna cave in.

What is your favorite music video?  
Lazerbeak: "Stress" by Justice.

If you could meet any musician, who would it be? (Dead or alive)   
Lazerbeak: Dead: Luther Vandross. Alive: Drake.

What is your favorite music movie/documentary?   
Lazerbeak: Man that's a tough one. My three go tos are probably Fade To Black (Jay-Z), I Am Trying to Break Your Heart (Wilco), and The Carter (Lil Wayne).

If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be? 
Randy Newman.

What venue throughout the world has been your favorite to perform at?  
Lazerbeak: This is the most cheeseball answer ever, but if I'm really being honest it's First Avenue in Minneapolis. No question. The most memorable nights in my life have been in that building.

What Twin Cities venue is your favorite to see a concert?  
Lazerbeak: Bunker's. Preferably Dr Mambo's Combo or the annual Luther Vandross tribute concerts.

If you could own any piece of music memorabilia, what would it be?   
Lazerbeak: The No Limit Records tank in Master P's "Make Em Say UGH" music video.
