In 1902, Susan B. Anthony proclaimed: “If I could live another century! I do so want to see the fruition of the work for women in the past century. There is so much yet to be done, I see so many things I would like to do and say, but I must leave it for the younger generation.” In 2020, there is still so much work yet to be done for women. St. Catherine University students are the embodiment of the imagined future of quality education and empowerment for women that motivated Anthony and other suffrage leaders to continue their work in the decades-long struggle for women’s suffrage. Read them and see how the next generation to do the work sees the struggle for women’s equality as they look back to the strengths and pitfalls of history, and look around at the fight for equality today. - Elizabeth Otto, Assistant Professor, Communication Studies
